how to resolve a large infestation of red mites-I used this method but added a homemade mite spray in between hosing and it works very well!! Homemade mite spray recipe-1 cup oil, 2 cups water and 1 tblsp. dish soap. Put into spray bottle and shake. will separate so keep mixed when using. I did my coop three times the first day. 2 times the second day. Hardly any mites left but the DE earth powder will take care of the rest.
